CFace has issues
Okay I have a question and I dont know how to ask it.
So here gose.
I am trying to take manga pictures, color them in and then add textures.
I normally color manga pages but i want to take it a step feather away from the anime look and feel.
I want to add realistic shades and w/e.
So here are some bad examples of what i am talking about.
->
But thats easy.
I want to make it more realistic.
Basically if this where a game.
I would like to take it from the 16bit realm and turn it to 32bits and beyond.

Re: CFace has issues
well, first of all what you need to do is clean the manga page, so clean out all specks and spot and sometimes the shadows. doing this you'll get a cleaner outcome.
that's usually the first step, after this you've several ways to color your pictures, and since I'm still not very good I think it's better to not teach you what to do next, hell, I still s*ck at it
but you usually then start the coloring and add shadows and lightings and maybe some extras... I suggest you google for some coloring tutorials, since I usually learn from those...

dude i dont need to know how to clean it and color it.
I said this was a bad example correct?
All i want to know is how to add shadows, textures, shades, ext.
if you cannot teach me then point me in the right direction.
I dont know whats this is called so i cant simply google it.
Being reason why i ask.
>.< if you where to get on a msger i would have not waited a day for a bad reply.

Re: CFace has issues
you still want my help or not?
well, then just go to deviantart and check the tutorials area, search for color tutorials and stuff like that, that way you've the biggest chance of finding what you're looking for...

>.< i never said i didn't want your help.
I said if you couldn't help me point me in the right direction.
Which i guess you did, the the direction was a lil vague XD
ill still look for it anyways.
But the thing is that i do not only want to do with with manga but any art i find. I think its called vectoring or something.
What i am trying to do is take normal art and give it more tones, shades, shadows ect.
If you where', what i am trying to do is take a 2d image and bring it to life.

Re: CFace has issues
coloring is basically when you use a monochrome picture, add colors, shadows and lightings
but with vectoring you redraw the monochrome picture, and then add the rest...
as for example, this is coloring...
and this is vectoring...

Re: CFace has issues
with coloring you use the base, and fill in the colors, with vectoring you completely redraw it...
Re: CFace has issues
o,0 they both sound interesting.
i might like vectoring than.
Since its sort of what im trying to do.
Would like to anime a real picture.
Would like to bring an anime to being real.

Re: CFace has issues
well, it was fun to do some simple vectors, but I wanted to make some really good ones, but it just took me too much time and I didn't liked the outcome most of the times, so I kinda gave up
