What game to play?

ok, so I'm a total noob when it comes to games, and I rarely play them, but lately I've been getting in the mood to play a game again. and I remembered a game I used to play, but don't know the name of it anymore

it's basically like the online browser game Ikariam. you start out as a house or building in the old times and you need to build more houses and evolve and stuff like that...

now here comes the question, does anyone of you know games like this that are not that hard to play and easy to get?

Was it Age of Empires?
Though it ain't online.
If not then there is also Warcraft.

AAAH THANKS!!! that was the name of the game, Age of Empires, and after checking google images I think it was II, so now gotta check if I can download the whole game somewhere

and I actually got Warcraft III from a friend a long time ago, and threw the install cd away last week after cleaning out my room, so this morning I went through the trash to get it back and after installing/playing it I realized it wasn't the game I was looking for

Yeah, Age of Empires II was one of my favorite games from old times.
Chinese and Japanese people have pretty cool buildings there and some nice special characters.

now I know the whole game already

but I was surprised of the filesize, it was under 300 Mb

I like the Jeanne d'Arc storyline of A.o.E II (or was she in the part...?)
But I also like Anno 1602 and 1503, but they are a lot harder than A.o.E.

Age of Mythologies are also from real time stragedy. If you want real time war stragedy, try commant and conquer games.

well, lately I'm looking for a games as well, some old school games... but, why not try Diablo II Expansion or something, Sensei-kun

You should also try Heroes of Might & Magic games. They are quite fun. I had some serious battles with my friends long ago.

lol, how do you do that? haven't got much time to experiment things myself yet I just played a standard scenario that was already there...

can you like download scenarios anywhere on the net for Age of Empires II? or are there any cheats for it?

I think you can download maps for Age of Empire II, but dunno about scenarios. Scenarios should actually work fine and the enemies should not die so easily, but if they do....just go to the next mission and continue :P

Lazer guys too. But the Cobra will die eventually. I've done some hard missions and sometimes 1 Cobra is not enough. For example, try getting it stuck between 2 castles (castles that shoot arrows) and/or try attacking with elephants. They should do alot of damage. But of course, when a player controls the Cobra, it is nearly immortal.

Ow yeah, monks can convert the cobra, LOL

you should also try Lionheart Legacy of the Crusader as well, its a good game... and easy to play?
