Your Music Player?

what media player do you use to listen to music on your computer and give a bit of info about it, like how did you start using it, how long are you using it, why are you using it, stuff like that...

I started using it since I started with computers, so guess about 6-8 years ago or so... I was just looking for a media player other then cr@ppy WMP to listen to some music and there came Winamp.
I liked Winamp because it had streaming videos and music built-in, plus thanks to Winamp I got addicted to Anime

but now that's not the reason anymore why I use Winamp. I now use it because I like the Winamp Library that gives a list of all songs you played, how many there are, how many times you played songs, how long it's altogether, Title of Song, Artist, Anime and it's pretty fast for having a playlist of about 1500 songs WMP would never survive that well, I'm not sure since I never really tried it

well, I use Winamp as well... not that long ago as you use it though 'cause in the past, I use to use iTunes instead, but since I started encoding my own animes and because iTunes has the cr@ppy QuickTime player(WinAVI 6.0 don't really like it), I uninstall it right away and use Winamp.

well, I like alot of songs and a big playlist so

hmmm, I still don't have that much songs at the moment, but I'm still downloading some from time to time

well, I used to have a 50 GB HD, so I couldn't leave much on my desktop, but then I got another 200 GB HD in my desktop and I suddendly realized I could keep more songs, so I went to Gendou, opened up my anime list and started going down all the animes and downloaded their songs ended up with about 1000 songs the rest is added through Nipponsei's releases

I can't download that much songs at moment, cuz I only got 40GB HD but I already got around 900 songs, but they're all in a CD now and I can't save them on my HD yet, so all the songs I'm currently listening too are all new songs and its 248 already

well, having a big HD is kinda good with music, but also bad, since you keep songs more quickly, even if they're not that good

so now I've about 200 songs I don't like anymore, but too lazy to pick them out

I just ignore those songs that I don't like to listen too and just skip them, but from time to time, when I feel like it or when I'm really busy reading manga, I got to listen to them as well, without noticing it

well, it happens when I downloaded a bunch of songs or an ost which has a few very good songs, and then you're in a good mood, and you're likely to keep the other songs aswell, even though they're not so good

lol, downloaded a lot of songs yesterday, songs that I'm still missing and I got 301 songs in my desktop now

but do you know what's irritating? for example you simply love an opening song you saw in an anime, so you download the full version, but then the full version s*cks but you still keep it cuz you liked the OP clip so much

well, I got that feeling from time to time as well... but, it can't be helped

and I want to download more more songs, but my HD is almost at its limit, cuz I've been downloading some manga as well that, I didn't notice that it was already 7.5GB

btw, do you use something to enhance the sounds in Winamp? like DFX, something like that

nope, not at all

but sometimes I really really like a song, and I imagine things like how awesome the full version would be like, and then it s*cks.... that's so irritating!!!

I used the latest Winamp. I used to use v2.92, the best version.

the one I'm using on Hayate right now is v5.35, since I do update on Hayate, since it's kinda like my play desktop

I use foobar.
It gets the job done .. everytime.

Well it's a really 'minimalistic' music player so it doesnt use as much resources as other music player.
I guess it's well known for being customisable into your liking.

well, easy to customize is usually a + but I've decided I won't change music players unless the new one has a library like winamp that easily keeps track of your number of songs/plays/music data and such, cuz that's what I like so much about Winamp

I use Winamp,it is really great.

If I listen to music on my computer I use winamp, but most of the time I use my mp3-player to listen to music.

WMP defintely s*cks as a music player.... but nah, it's good if you only need to check something...
